FALKIRK TRYST FESTIVAL
This year the Society will be taking part in the Falkirk Festival with a special show of old Falkirk images and films to the magic accompaniment of Mike Nolan, Scotland's leading 'silent film pianist'. The show will take place on Wednesday 12th May at 7.30pm in Falkirk Town Hall. Admission £5 pay at the door (or tickets from the Steeple Box Office). Proceeds to the Friends of Strathcarron Hospice. Ian Scott will introduce the programme which has been compiled by Ian and John Reid. They have use several hundred images covering buildings, people, events, transport, streets, shops, pubs, closes and wynds and the 'movies' used by permission of the Scottish Screen Archive show the town as it was over 70 years ago. |
