The Society's programme for 2009-2010 is as follows:
Since the Society has many new members, many of whom are not originally from our area, we have decided to concentrate this session on the history of the local area. Therefore we will be looking mainly at the villages of the Falkirk district.
Programme is as follows:

Wednesday 21st October: ALAN MEEKon Grahamston and Bainsford
Wednesday 18th November: BRIAN WATTERS on Larbert and Stenhousemuir
Wednesday 16th December: JOHN REID on Slamannan and Avonbridge
Wednesday 21st January: GEOFF BAILEY on Camelon
Wednesday 17th February: IAN SCOTT (Falkirk) on the Polmont area . Wednesday 17th March: IAN SCOTT (Larbert) on the Grangemouth Dyeworks
Wednesday 21st April: AGM and SUMMER WALK REPORT After the short AGM we will have a slide presentation on last summers walks.
Wednesday 19th May: SPECIAL MEETING Topic to be decided later In aid of the Friends of Strathcarron Hospice. .
In the summer months, June, July and August there will be four guided historical walks around local areas of interest. Everyone is welcome and there is no charge.
Once a year, in April, there is an excursion to some far of place with an overnight stay and a number of visits. Last year we went to to the north east of Scotland. Finally, there is the annual Cheese and Wine evening which this year is on Friday 26th February. Details of all these will be posted as soon as they are available.
